Outline
The basic laws explain how each person determines what happens in his life. They include:
  1. The Law of Attraction
  2. The Law of Request
  3. The Law of Resistance
  4. The Law of Reflection
  5. The law of Projection
  6. The Law of Attachment
  7. The Law of Responsibility
The Law of Attraction
Everybody is a spirit. A spirit has both magnetic field and electric field just like a magnet and an electrostatic charge. Each attracts whatever happens in his life and repels what he does not what in life. This is called sympathy and empathy. That is why birds of the same feather flock together and why water finds its own level.
Because of this law of attraction, you are advised to think good thoughts only. By so doing, you attract good things in your life.

The Law of Request
Ask and you shall receive. The law demands that you ask for what you need, and God will mobilise the forces of nature to provide it. God does not force Himself on people. He allows free will, free choice and personal responsibility.
You also ask for something by seeking for it and by knocking (working) for it. That is why Jesus did not hesitate to teach people to ask, to knock and to seek.
The law is necessary, so that we ask for something when we are ready for it. How would you feel if you just bought a new car for somebody and presented it to him, and the person simply says, “I don’t need it.”
By the same law, we do not impose ourselves, or our decisions, on others. If you offer help where it is not needed, it is ignored, unappreciated or postponed to some other time. Usually, people prefer to sort things out by themselves. They do not want some other persons to interfere. Besides, certain difficult or unpleasant situations may be necessary for a person to grow in spirit or learn the lessons of life.

The Law of Resistance
We resist whatever we do not need, like or want. Those who are not bold enough to say it, resist using ‘body language’. Some others resist by their attitudes, actions and inactions.
Often, people resist good things of life by their negative thoughts. For example, a person who thinks that he is not destined to become rich is likely to avoid opportunities or things that make people rich. Such expressions that resist good things coming into our life are:
“I always have bad luck,”
“My God has disappointed me,”
“My God has killed me,”
“Things get worst at my turn,”
Etc.

D not say any of these negative statements in your life or about yourself.

The Law of Reflection
We live in a Light-Wave Universe. A universe, where all things are made of light. Each being a light that vibrates. The vibrations move to the ends of the universe, and are eventually reflected back to its source. Every detail about yourself or your life is always radiated to the entire universe. It is you who gossip most about yourself. The universe, being a Castle Of Light, is like a mirror. It is as if we all are enclosed inside a Universal Mirror that is spherical in shape. It reflects back to you what you think, say or do.
That explains ‘the principle of first impression’ we often talk about. When we meet others or interact with them, we are able to receive and interpret signals from them. Some people call this Psychology, Metaphysics or Extra Sensory Perception. This explains why drama, including films and home videos, are reflections of the society.

The Law of Projection
The outward realities of a person’s life are a projection of realities within the person. The realities are thoughts, desires, likes, dislikes, attitudes, etc.
These projections manifest as preferences or transfer of aggression. Jesus did not hesitate to warn people to make their hearts good by thinking good thoughts, because good thought breeds good deeds, and bad thought breeds bad deeds.
False projections manifest as prejudice, bias, misconception and misunderstanding. You should project goodness unto others, so that they as well project goodness unto you. This is why good human relations is very important.

The Law of Attachment
The law of attachment states that we become one with whatever we attach ourselves to. Then, we live as if our life, our honour, our prestige and our worth depend on those objects of attachment. That is dangerous. That is why many are dying prematurely, and some are developing hypertension. All because they believe and think that their life and self-worth depend on things of life.
A lady who is so much attached to her beautiful dress, would spend hours, even days, regretting a stain on the dress. On the other hand, the person who is not attached to his dress simply changes the dress without minding the stain and life goes on.
Those who do not easily forgive, harm themselves by attaching themselves to the wrongs. That is why it is not good for your anger to extend unto the evening or next day.
Jesus made it clear. Your life does not depend on earthly possessions or honours. It is enough to have what is sufficient in our lives.
Your thoughts are like tiny threads. The more you think, the more the thread grow bigger and bigger. Being forces of nature, the threads can pull us into pleasant or unpleasant situations. St. Paul was emphatic when he advised, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philipines 4:8

Attachment means you are rejecting heavenly life, without knowing it. You practice attachment, if you:
  1. Quickly get angry.
  2. Easily get affected by what people say or think about you.
  3. Allow your moods to go up and down often (mood swing).
  4. Let insignificant details annoy you.
  5. Let unpleasant incidents destroy your whole day.
  6. Are always complaining, nagging, murmuring or displeased.
  7. Do not happily welcome people.
  8. Do not mind how others feel.
  9. Do not allow others profit from you.
  10. Often shout at your children, spouse, co-workers or employees.
  11. Easily get angry with your offenders.
  12. Are always unhappy with situations.
  13. Let your work, the weather, other people’s behaviours and attitudes, the movies or the Newspapers influence the way you feel and think.
  14. Are always watching the clock to know if office hours are over.
  15. Are easily distracted by people or events.
  16. Grieve too much for lost items, insults or disappointments.
Many people, especially women, practice emotional attachment, while men attach themselves to wealth and honour. And attachment is not good for their souls.

On several occasions, Jesus warned against attachment. You can change this situation, by developing some inner detachment. You will still encounter disturbing circumstances and people, from time to time. However, your attitude towards them, and the way you react, would change for your own good. You gain unimaginable freedom, relief and happiness, if you can stay calm and poised in the face of life's changing situations. You then save yourself from much physical, emotional and mental discomfort, upset, anger or dissatisfaction.

I found the kingdom of heaven ready and open,
but people refuse to enter therein
and have rest for their souls.
How correct Jesus was.
All because they are have attachments,
Which are cares and worries.

The Law of Responsibility
God gave everyone free will, free choice and personal responsibility. Everybody has a soverign will, because he is the image and likeness (child) of God. Even the Devil cannot interfere with or prevail against this law. That is why he uses 'deception' to mislead people into doing what is evil. He cannot influence this law. Therefore, he presents what is evil in a deceptive form, so that a man by his own will misleads himself into doing evil. Just like the case between the fish and the fisher man. For the fisher man knows that the fish will never eat the hook. Therefore, he presents the hook in a deceptive form by hiding it inside a bait. The fish only goes to take the bait, which is its food, only to be caught by the hook. That is why on the last day, many would claim that it was the Devil that deceived them, but the Devil will reply God, saying, "They deceived themselves."
Becasue of this law, everybody is in-charge of his destiny. He is the architect of his own fortune or misfortune. Out of ignorance, many are quick to blame some other person or thing for their mistakes, faults and failures.
This law makes you accountable for whatever that is entrusted into your hands. Those who neglect their duties, by ignorance or volition, are seriously punished for it.
To him who much is given, much is expected.
